Alone in Hong Kong

22nd June: Daddy is still alone in Hong Kong. Misses Mum and Samuel very much. Spent Father's day alone but heard Samuel on the phone. It was the best Fathers' day gift. Anyway during this time in Hong Kong, the 3 things that comfort me most are 1. Church 2. Sunday Soccer and 3. Great food. Above is a nice Smoked salmon/egg salad sandwich.
The lychees are in season and they are the best I have ever had. Sweet, big and juicy. The cherries are nice too but a bit pricy. HK$40 a pound. The lychees are about HK$22 a pound

I went past the fruit stall and saw this. Don't know what fruit it is, but was curious so I bought it. It is a bit sour and juicy, the flesh is like little spikes.

May 26th: Daddy has been in Hong Kong for more than a month now. It has been tough and because of work, daddy has a bad cough. We haven't seen each other for 15 years and now reunited again.

March 24th: We flew Cathay Pacific, the flight to HK was terrible. The service was poor, we even got a lecture from the head stewardess. Want to complain her. But the return trip was better. The head stewardess was very very nice.

March 22nd: Sorry for not updating the blog for such a long time. We have been away to Hong Kong and had relatives visiting. Look at Samuel, looks more like a dumpling. Wearing so many clothes because of the cold weather.

February 16th: Last weekend some of the youth, and college student fellowship went to CCC for a Thaipusam camp. It was a lot of fun, and we learned a lot. Above, we had our "pot stickers" session. It turned out to be quite yummy too!

30th October: Daddy and Uncle Mike went on a camping trip on Monday. Planning to challenge ourselves to be more "man vs wild" (TV show), we decided not to bring a stove, only drinking stream water, and no toilets nearby.

As you can see, our food was good.

National Day Fishing Trip

1st September: Today was the replacement public holiday for the Malaysian National Day (31st August). A few of the brothers went fishing.
We caught about 70-80 fishes, some escaped our storage net, at the end we brought back 55 fishes.

Fishing is hard work you know?

But cutting and cleaning the fish is even harder!

August 26th: We went and checked out our apartment renovations progress. So far as you can see, it is going great. We love the colors daddy picked and it is so much different from we first started.

June 18th: Samuel went swimming for the first time in his life. We didn't use Danny & Popo's swimming trunks as we fear it might be too cold for him. Here he looks more like a superhero rather than a swimmer. And hey, what is he pointing to? Ahhh... feels great without wearing diapers.

The water never touched his upper body. He was a bit shy and scared of the water. But nevermind, we will continue to train him.

May 17th: 14 months today, Samuel had his first passport made yesterday. Surprising that Malaysia government is still as efficient, passport application till pick up was just 2 hours apart. But his passport photo was really hard to take as he kept moving and not looking at the front.

April 23rd: Samuel got a haircut today and walked unassisted for more than 5 steps for the first time. Although he is already 13 months old, it is considered slightly quicker than most boys to learn to walk at his age. But that just means that looking after him is that much harder... April 17th: More photos taken by "professional", meaning cost money lah. But they do look nice. Anyway, recently Daddy has some new enlightenment that he would want to share here.

The worst thing in the world is to:
(1) Be accused (and punished) for something you didn't do
- Jesus was crucified when he truly was the Son of God and was Sinless
- I recently watched the show "Guilty or Innocent", where some people are accused of murders and put in jail for crimes they did not commit.

(2) Be accused for doing something bad, when you meant it well
- Like giving money to help someone, but not only that they did not thank you for it, but accused you of looking down on them because they are poor.

(3) Be accused for doing something bad, when you didn't intend it

It is awful to be in any of the 3 situations, but what to do? Life goes on, but know that one day everything will be brought forth on judgment day, and God can witness to our innocence.

24th March: Samuel has started to stand up by himself without support. It is said that boys learn to walk and stand slower than girls. But its fun to see him grow everyday.
Daddy got into an accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and thankfully we had insurance. 3 cars were involved.

18th March: Samuel celebrated his birthday one day late because daddy just got back from Jakarta. But it was a memorable event.

He was quite shocked to see the people around singing and wishing him a happy birthday. Didn't know what was going on!

March 17th: Daddy just got back from Jakarta and we all went to celebrate Samuel's 1 year birthday at Fridays.

He doesn't know that it is his birthday and is very happy just playing with a stick of celery.

Feb 28th: Remember when it was 2005, when Daddy got a job offer from his client in Australia, and moved to the Gold Coast with mummy. This was taken at the MovieWorld Theme Park, with Daffy and Sylvester.
